Kayak Map Route Atoka Lake, North Boggy, OK

The above kayak route map explores the north end of the Atoka Reservoir off of Highway 43 north of Stringtown, OK. This is the second trip here, and it goes up the North Boggy Creek branch as far as possible, until the creek narrows and dragging the boat becomes a hassle. Its a great, scenic, little creek and fun to explore. Upon return, as I was loading the boat at the launch for the drive back to Dallas, the game warden drove up aggressively and blocked my exit with his vehicle. He got out to investigate and concluded that I was only “recreating”. At this water level there were also a few interesting side channels to explore on this trip; the turnarounds for those are shown as yellow dots in the map.
