Kayak Map Route Beards Lake, Millwood Lake, Arkansas www.SawdustRiver.com

For this kayak trail paddle map the boat launch is the Core of Engineers Beard’s Lake Launch, which requires either 5 bucks or some version of the America the Beautiful pass. A COE campsite is located opposite the launch and its pretty near, just acrorss the dam, from the state park. Note the big yellow alligator warning sign at the launch. For this trip you paddle down the corridor, and you paddle back the corridor, not much left or right needed. I’m not sure how far I went but for the map at least I set a turnaround somewhere, maybe its wrong but its a straight shot out and back however far you go. I almost didn’t try this route but it actually was a better than expected…saw an enormous snapping turtle and quite a few alligators.
