Bodcau Bayou C, Hwy 157 to Dam, Louisiana, Kayak Paddle Trip
A kayak paddle route in the Bodcau Bayou just downstream of the Bodcau dam. This route is popular at Bodcau, usually as a short point to point paddle launching below the dam and taking out at Highway 157. Here I did it as an out and back starting at the 157 put-in. In the middle there are some spots where you have to look around some to see if you should be ‘over there’. But pretty easy to get back on track. And not too long, I think a few miles each way. From the put-in you can also go downstream to Bodcau Lake; that is another trip.
