Caddo B 805 WMA Launch

A winter paddle at Caddo. This kayak route uses the 805 WMA launch, follows Carter’s Chute, but goes further out the C and R boat lane markers to do a loop at Clinton Lake. The connection between Clinton Lake and Big Cypress Bayou is Blind Slough, which is twisty and fun, just watch out for powerboats coming around the corners. Camping is available at the nearby Caddo Lake State Park, at primitive campsites at the 805 WMA launch site and, if you want to haul your gear, on Goat Island. During hunting season the 805 WMA launch is packed with cars, campers, boats.
