Caddo H 805 WMA Launch

A kayak canoe paddle trail through the Caddo swamp, going east from the 805 WMA launch through Back Lake into Clinton Lake, and back. The route explored as much of the eastern and northern sides of Clinton Lake as possible, any little channel or inlet or bay, anything that looked ‘open’ on the map. Some of the turnarounds were in pretty sloggy, mucky, muddy areas. The route looks imprecise and haphazard but it’s actually pretty accurate with lots of phone pins. There will not be much deviation from what is pictured. Another great paddle at Caddo, especially in winter with the salvinia cleared and the water up. Paddling so deep into the cypress trees it’s as if you are invisible, unfindable.
