Caddo J 805 WMA Launch

This kayak trail paddle route at Caddo starts from the 805 WMA launch and stays nearby, just exploring the edges of Carter Lake and nearby inlets and shorelines. There is nothing particularly designed about the route, just a pleasant paddle to check here check there. Not a long paddle either, just winding through the cypress, paddling backwards, getting hung up on the knees, puttering around. It’s amazing how much more paddleable area there is than one might expect. Highlights of this nice paddle were some baby beavers and an alligator.
