Lake Conroe, West Fork San Jacinto Kayak Paddle
Kayak paddle route map launching at “Canoe Access 1” on Stubblefield Lake Road 215 at the north end of Lake Conroe. The lake is about 10 miles west of I-45 between Huntsville and Conroe Texas, and 50 miles or so north of Houston. The route goes up into the West Fork of the San Jacinto River and does a loop down at the lake as well. Parking at the launch was a bit limited, a lot of people were fishing from this spot. The amount of duckweed and watermeal on the river was astonishing. Saw a couple other guys paddling the river as well.
