Neches River, Hardin County Park

This trip launched at the Hardin County Park on the Neches River north of Silsbee. The idea was that there might be channels off to the left and right of the Neches that could be explored. But, turns out the river is pretty well contained here, one main channel, and so the route turned into an out and back. The river was at 1400 cfs and paddling up was some work. The trip occurred during the partial eclipse of 2023 but there wasn’t much change in the light, maybe slightly. Pretty paddle, but not a lot to say.
