Upper Ouachita NWR D Finch Bayou Kayak Paddle Trip

There is a nice little lake near the Finch Bayou Rec Area called Finch Lake. One way to access this lake is to drive south on Park River Road, or east on Hooker Hole Road, and where the two roads intersect there is a bridge and put-in. From the launch you paddle north and enter the lake. The lake is really something and a paddle I want to do again, it was so pretty. There is some sort of private camp along the south end of the lake; I drove up to it but didn’t understand what it was so I left to launch at the Hooker Hole bridge.
