Mercer Bayou, Sulphur River WMA, Texarkana, AR C
Kayak paddle trail route map in the Mercer Bayou area of the Sulphur River WMA in Arkansas, just south of Texarkana. This trip paddles along the bayou to the point of a turnaround for one of the prior Mercer Bayou trips thus, over several trips, completing the entire channel. Lily pads, lotus, and great sky. Saw several guys out in their mudboats on this trip, either fishing or cruising the bayou, with the weather a bit cool. Saw four or five alligators in the water, but nothing big. The fish were popping up by the boat all over the place.
