Pine Creek Lake, Little River, Oklahoma
Kayak route trail map on Pine Creek Lake and Little River in southeast Oklahoma. The trip launches out of the Corps of Engineers Pine Creek Cove Rec Area, weaves north through the lake, goes past the Highway 3 bridge, follows Little River further up and finally turns around at Terrapin Creek, about 22 miles round trip. There are quite a few put-in spots at other locations as well. The lake was about 8 feet below the top of conservation, or full pool, level. This is usually more interesting for paddling compared to just having more lake. Because google satellite images may not be up to date, the European satellite imaging site Copernicus can be used to see (lower-res) images from just a few days past, to get an idea how the lake looks.
